Bayside Amenities – in progress

Botany Bay, NSW

The Kyeemagh Boat Ramp Reserve and the Depena Reserve represent significant recreational areas within the Bayside Council catchment. Located on the Western shore of Botany Bay, these parks are green public spaces of high cultural value and amenity.

The existing run down amenities blocks at Kyeemagh will be demolished and replaced with new public facilities that are sustainable, easily maintained, accessible to everyone, respond to the site and are welcoming to the community. The Depena Reserve facilities will be refurbished and doubled in size. Four significant murals by Sydney artist Steven Vella, themed on the passing of time, will be retained in-situ.

Herringbone patterned brickwork on both Kyeemagh and Depena Amenities evoke the façade detailing, in both timber and concrete, of other amenities built along the shores of Botany Bay over the past decade.
