Milner Residence

2019 Gadi Country / Vaucluse, NSW

The project is comprised of small internal interventions, with the clients wishing to refresh their aging but comfortable home; to help keep up with the demands of a busy young family of five.

The house sits quietly away from the street, opposite South Head Cemetery in Vaucluse. From the living room, the ocean can be glimpsed over rooftops and through pine trees.

A new light filled kitchen connects seamlessly into an external terrace whilst living and bedroom joinery provides much needed storage. A old bathroom enjoys a second lease on life. In the main bedroom, a walk in robe and study desk maximise space and light. A clear design motif flows through the various spaces; utilising a combination of solid and veneer Blackbutt timber, brass, and shades of white and grey.
