Bronte Breeze House
2022 Gadi Country / Bronte, NSW
Our client’s growing family and love of the outdoors has guided our design contribution to this 1940s interwar bungalow, set in a heritage conservation area.
The aim was to harmonise the heritage elements of the house with contemporary and complementary form, materials and detailing.
First floor additions expand the internal habitable area with a multi-textured contemporary take on the existing highly detailed interiors.
The hero of this addition are the ocean views to the north east gained through large casement windows, designed to capitalize on winter sun and summer breezes.
The addition of an outdoor pavilion extends the living area into the established richly planted rear garden, enhancing our clients’ connection to the landscape and broader coastal environment.
