With qualifications in structural and civil engineering and architecture, Allen brings a multidisciplinary approach to his practice and work ethic.
He combines rigorous technical thinking, construction detailing and problem-solving, with a passion for beautiful, considered architectural spaces.
His experience across the architectural discipline – from design and documentation, to contract administration and construction support – and his knowledge of structures has contributed to a deep understanding of design and building from an interdisciplinary lens.
Since joining SCA in 2016, Allen has worked across public, sports infrastructure, community and single residential typologies, including the multi-award winning Blacktown Animal Rehoming Centre, Parramatta Park Café (short-listed AIA award ) and Darlinghurst Terrace (shortlisted IDEA, AIDA and INDE awards).
Allen leads SCA’s Sustainability and Technical Review Working Groups and is part of the SCA leadership team.
An active EmAGN NSW (emerging architects and graduate network) committee member, Allen has coordinated industry events with NSW universities and practicing professionals, focusing on Sustainability and Reconciliation in the built environment.
He enjoys the SCA office culture and people, conversations with peers inspire him. In his spare time Allen loves to rock climb, hike, kayak, anything outdoors.
