Ben plays an integral role in studio management, oversees bid delivery, assists with business development, and mentors younger staff.
He is a certified BIM (Building Information Modelling) and IT manager, and is passionate about cross collaboration with landscape architects, urban designers and other industry professionals.
Joining SCA in 2010, he has a proven track record in the design and delivery of complex residential, public and social housing projects. Using his advanced technical skills he expertly coordinates project documentation, seamlessly integrating details with consultants.
Ben’s multi-award-winning projects include Matraville Youth Centre, North Bondi Amenities, Bara Bridge, Scotland Island House II, and Wicks Park Amenities; and he was project lead on several multi-residential projects for Homes NSW.
Each project is designed and delivered with dedication and thoroughness, with a strong eye for detail, and a curiosity that celebrates both functionality and beauty.
Ben enjoys exploring different materials and designing beautiful homes for families; and, in public projects, delivering benefits for the broader community.
He is a member of the Camden Council Design Review Panel and regularly speaks at universities and industry events.
Having grown up in Hong Kong, Ben draws inspiration from the dynamic contrast between Hong Kong’s dense urban fabric and Sydney’s expansive natural landscapes.
