With hands-on experience in both construction and architecture, Jonas brings skills ranging from concept development and model-making to digital design and documentation.

He values spaces that connect people to their wider contexts—places that embody comfort, memories, and a sense of belonging - shaped by craft, setting, and storytelling.

Growing up on a dairy farm in New Zealand he is adept with all sorts of tools to craft landscapes and furniture.

The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre by Patterson Associates, located in a small village near his hometown, prompted him to study architecture. Its stainless-steel façade, shaped into a striking sculptural form, fabricated and installed by local craftsmen, functions as art gallery, public artwork and major tourist attraction. It demonstrates that world-class architecture can exist outside major cities.

Design inspiration comes from a walk, listening to music, and a good film. His design sketches are on pen and notebook.

Jonas loves to cook, go to a good music gig, and spend time at Bondi beach with good company.
