Architectural Assistant
B DesArch
Combined with a longstanding love of art and design, she is both research and detail-oriented in her work.
She loves getting involved across all stages of a project and working between both residential and public typologies. And learning from the talented people around her.
At SCA she is working on Burrows Park Amenities Clovelly, Gunnamatta Pavilion upgrade Cronulla, writes and manages social media, prepares renders and marketing drawings, and is on the Reconciliation Working Group.
She was one of five student teams chosen by a jury chaired by the NSW Government Architect for the NSW Housing Pattern Book Design Competition Student Category, an international competition to design terrace houses for the 21st century.
At the University of Sydney, Illiana received First Class Honours for her dissertation on access for autistic people in shopping centres and, with a travelling scholarship, studied an intensive Architectural History elective in Rome. Utilising her university assessment framework she undertook a neurodiversity review for SCA’s Camden Animal Shelter and Nursery and continues this analysis within the practice.
She relaxes drawing portraits.
