Combined with a longstanding love of art and design, she is both research and detail-oriented in her work.
At SCA she works on amenities and residential projects, writes and manages social media, produces newsletters, designs renders and marketing drawings, and sits on the Reconciliation Working Group and AI Committee.
Illiana received Class I Honours for her Masters dissertation on enabling access in shopping centres for autistic people. She led a neurodiversity review for Camden Animal Shelter and Nursery, and continues this analysis within the practice.
She was one of five student teams shortlisted for the NSW Government's Housing Pattern Book Design Competition Student Category. In 2025, she received the prestigious Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship and undertook international travel researching best-practice examples of autism-friendly designs of public spaces.
In her spare time she carves and exhibits stone sculptures.
