The design for a new sports pavilion elevates quality and functionality, providing a premier facility for club sport and a destination for the local community, whilst celebrating the proud history of the local sports association.
Architecture as gateway to play and gathering
Grandstand, café and shared spaces connect people to the game.
The new facilities act as a gateway to the sports fields. They include a covered first floor grandstand and a café with outdoor seating, change rooms, offices, treatment rooms, accessible viewing area and media facilities.

“A unifying materiality references the natural bush setting and the football association’s history through the use of colour and natural textures.”
The design sees optimum sight lines for spectators; acoustic enhancements via serrated and insulated façade screening; natural ventilation and light into change rooms and community room spaces, the creation of double height spaces throughout, plus additional privacy for change rooms; and a roof canopy harmonised with the façade treatment.
