Education
Well-designed learning centres help deliver positive education outcomes, encouraging students to be more receptive to learning. We view every space as an education opportunity – from cafeteria to bathroom, from classroom to corridors. We integrate nature into our designs, to seamlessly connect the indoors with outdoors and create possibilities for open air learning. Playfulness in materiality and form invites exploration and curiosity.
Schools and early learning centres are like miniature cities with all the attention to detail that community and functions require. We apply our expertise in early learning, secondary and tertiary education building design. Research is integral to this design process – we consider new educational models, such as shared classrooms and flexible spaces, that support the latest pedagogies. We collaborate with schools and universities to deliver robust, functional and flexible buildings. We navigate the complex needs of multiple stakeholders to design buildings that cater to a diverse range of abilities, activities, timetables and requirements. Our designs respond both to individual sites and a whole campus.
